Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

BakeNomads ("we", "us") operates bakenomads.com, a directory of bakeries around the world. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. Questions: hello@bakenomads.com.

Data we collect

Listing and claim data. When you add or claim a bakery we collect your name, business email, role and any proof you share. This is used only to verify ownership and to contact you about your listing.

Location. If you allow browser geolocation (or we estimate it from your IP via ipapi.co) we use it to sort bakeries by distance. It is processed in your browser and never stored on our servers.

Analytics. We use Ninelytics to understand aggregate site usage (pages viewed, referrers, approximate location). We do not sell personal data.

Cookies and storage. We set one authentication cookie for site administrators only. Your preferences (theme, distance unit) live in your browser's local storage and never leave your device.

Payments. Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers; we keep only your Stripe customer reference.

Third-party sources

Listing details and photos may come from the Google Places API and are subject to Google's terms. Business information shown on BakeNomads (names, addresses, ratings) is public business data.

Emails

We send transactional emails about your claims and listings from hello@bakenomads.com. No marketing without your consent.

Retention and your rights

We keep claim records while your listing is active. You can request access, correction or deletion of your data, or removal of your listing, by emailing hello@bakenomads.com. We answer within 30 days.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected in the date above. See also our Terms of Service.
